Over the duration of the BC BDAR Project we invite sex workers and sex worker-serving projects, programs, networks, and organizations across BC to be deeply involved in the design and implementation of the BC BDAR tool and related education opportunities through extensive province-wide community consultations, surveys, forums, and advisory groups. We will update this webpage with our progress and upcoming ways to get involved.

Thank you for your feedback!
Our Consultation Phase is now closed.
We want to thank everyone who organized, participated in and shared about the BC BDAR Consultation Phase. The purpose of this Consultation Phase was to learn from sex workers across BC about experiences using various types of bad date reporting (BDAR), ideas for improving BDAR and opinions on key issues related to BDAR.
June 30th, 2023 marks our last day of this 6 month phase.
It has been an honour to hold space for all of your experiences and stories, to learn from your expertise, and to bear witness to the strength and resilience of your communities.
We cannot build a strong and robust province-wide bad date reporting system without you and we are so grateful for all of your contributions!
Over the summer the BC BDAR team compiled all of the survey, Sharing Circle and Kitchen Table Talk feedback and data, and have begun writing a ‘What We Heard” Report.
We will be sharing a report draft with everyone who participated in our consultation process to ensure we got things right. Stay tuned for events and ways to leave your feedback in the Winter of 2024.
We have also started the initial exploratory work required to start building the province-wide bad date reporting system based on all of the feedback we heard from these surveys and consultations.
We will be involving sex workers and sex work support organizations, networks and allies in every ongoing phase of our project.
